Horse lay bet in-play not getting matched

Not sure if this is a Bet Angel or Betfair question.

In practice mode this evening, I had horse racing lay bets in place before the off and deliberately carried them over to in-play.

I noticed while watching the races unfold that my lay bets on the ladder were occasionally getting missed from being taken, despite the odds bouncing around quite a lot.

For example, i've laid at 2.8 and I saw the trading go down to around 2.4, 2.5 several times, then back up to over 3.0, then back down again and each time my lay was still untaken, despite it appearing that mine was the only money available at that price.

In the end they all got taken, but is this something to do with Bet Angel, or being in practice mode, or is it Betfair ?

I suspect this is a quirk of practise mode which probably does something like...

1: Get the last traded price
2: If you have a bet at that price then count it as matched

So, when the last traded price bounces around above and below your price (but never exactly on it) your bet doesn't get counted as matched.

Thanks Tanden, sounds as though it could be that. Will maybe find out later today when my testing moves into real money micro stakes territory !
