Hello there.

I am using automation rules and want to set one up to place a bet on the favourite of a race if the SP is 'whatever'.
Now i know we can place a bet on the 'present' favourite say at 50/1 and then take the SP at the off but this doesn't seem to allow me to make rules to only place the bet if the favourite at the off is a certain price.
I am presently getting around this by betting on the fav, 10-30 secs after the race should go live. This mostly get it but there are many times when the odds are close and jumping and a get the second favourite instead, or the race goes of on time and i miss it completely or then get in running.
I could wait till the off then place a bet on the favourite then at the SP but many times this has moved in from the off to never go back to.
To clarify.... I want to only bet on the favourite at the SP so long as the SP is a certain price...possible?

Your going to have to sacrifice something, the BSP is calculated by averaging backers and layers money who have actually taken SP on that runner so if your bet is not already in that pool it cant be applied.

ie You cant ask for the SP on which ever one is returned fav after everyone else SP bets have been calculated to create the fav.

You either have to make the decision to chose a selection at some point like the one that is fav at the actual post time or similar and take SP on that or wait till after the off and BF have returned the BSP then back the returned BSP fav which runs the risk of missing out if the price shortens.

You can add the condition the fav is priced greater or less than odds easily enough which ever way you decide to chose your fav.
