Ive been playing around lately with a strategy using a fill/kill rate of 100 ms

I was just wondering if anyone uses a Fill/Kill rate less than this on a regular basis?

I wouldn't have thought it would make that much difference as Betfair cached data at around 200ms?

Not quite sure how it works Peter; I know the full cycle if you like is 200ms, but if you have it on a 100ms Fill/Kill and it isnt matched immediately, it would be cancelled before it reached the next cycle..
Its a particular thing Im trying to take advantage of and what I was thinking is that even if a bet was submitted with say a 5ms Fill/Kill if there was an opposing XM bet available it would be matched irrespective of the very small fill/kill time
The only thing I would be worried about using a very small fill/kill time is that it has to go a full 200ms clock cycle to return matched bets information from the API, so it could submit too many bets
Ill have a think about it

Had a discussion about this on betfair a while ago:

Not sure it is possible in betangel though as to get below 400ms you have to send a cancel all.

Thanks Liam,
Makes interesting reading.
I have Betangel running other stuff, but this is running on my handcoded BOT.

Ah nice, I don't have any strategies that have fill/kill of a time less than 1 second (from hitting the market) but I can see where you are coming from in terms of taking advantage of XM.

I don't think there is a limit on placeOrders other than the 1000 an hour limit and 200 per request.
