I am fairly new......
I am scalping the under 2.5 market, using the ladder interface.
When i look at the bottom of ladder, there are lumps of money just sitting there from about 1.15 to 1.01
How do you place a bet there, without betfair moving it and matching it at the best odds available ?

Anyone can place a lay at lower odds than the current price just as you can place (ask) for odds higher than the current price if your backing.
Only if your backing below the current best price or laying above will you be matched at the current best price - after all if you place a back at 2.5 and odds of 4.0 are avalible would nt you rather be matched here.
