I have a question perhaps one of the football heads could help me with.
im working on a lay the draw HT stratagy ,i only have 250 samples so far,
what i would like to know is this,
across all leagues what is the percentage of times that a goal is scored HT,and ends up a HT draw.
im trying to calculate if its better to let the lay ride or automate a green up,

Check out Soccer Stats Tracker, free software with stats from 2000.
While the standard queries will not answer your question you can download actual results from various leagues into excel to interrogate.
Quick check on some data I have covering 22 european leagues for the last 3 seasons
approx 20,00 matches
13,442 had a goal scored in 1st half
2215 ended up as draws at HT
Not sure if this is what you were after but an example of what you can find out.

so to calculate what to do when a goal is scored then i needed to know how many end HT in a draw,
so 2.215 is 16.47% of 13.442.--thats what i need to work out if when a goal is scored do i
A -only take the stake out.
B - green all.
c- do nothing else just let it ride,
d - work out is it better backing FH over 0.5
etc ,etc ,etc

Just noticed this thread and was hoping that someone may give me a little feedback about this free stat site.I went to download it and have a look myself but it is a winzip file which requires a programme to open which i will pay for if need be.
Hope to move more to the football side of trading this year with the help of Peters stats of course ,but would like to be able to run my own muddled bunch alongside.
