Hi guys,

Wondering if anyone knows how to set an automation to trigger a bet for a set time period after the start of the second half in a footie match? Say for example you wanted to back the winning team after the first half if they were still leading by the 60th minute?

Thanks

Set the arm time to around 77mins (60mins of game play, 15mins for HT interval & 2mins added time at end of first half).

Its not so easy regarding if there leading - you would need to track the odds movement through out the game and know approx where they should be around 60mins if they where ahead but its difficult to blanket this across all games as the odds will be significantly different depending on the teams playing and there starting odds.

The soccer mystic feature of Bet Angel can be used to give you the expected odds at a given time.

Thanks Dallas

Is there a way for Guardian to determine if a goal has been scored?

Not via a score feed only in the way i put in my last response, there is a few examples of automation rules for fooball matches in the shared files library one which demonstrates some of the condtions that can be used and how to set them up to trigger after a goal.

I also have another file which will try and identify when goals are scored which i will be adding shortly now the new season has started.

Remember that red cards can have a similar effect on the odds to a goal, so you can get caught out by that.

Dallas/Euler, I don't know why you guys don't just get the BA programmers to use the Correct Score market to work out what the score is. It's so easy to do. If the market is liquid then there will always be someone wanting to back every possible scoreline. So if in any row all the unmatched money on the lay side disappears, you know that particular scoreline is now impossible. By looking at which combination of lay odds have disappeared, you can deduce what the score is.

Right now, anyone who bets on the Match Odds market in Excel can put the Correct Score market into another tab, use the technique I just mentioned to work out the score, and use it to drive their betting on the Match Odds tab. The people who are disadvantaged are the ones who use Guardian rather than Excel to bet on the Match Odds market. You could easily fix that and make the score available in Guardian, if necessary with a disclaimer that it's not the official score but only the inferred score.
