Hi,

This might be a simple one but I need a way to lay for a 1 ticket profit, but only after my back bet has been matched. Reason is I don't always have enough funds to place the back/lay bet at the same time. It seems the tick offset tool attempts to place the lay bet immediately.

Ive also tried the offset batches with a £10 stake but it still immediately adds the £10 on the lay side...

Anyway around this.

Thanks

Use fill or kill and offset to achieve this. It will fill one side first then the other.

Hi, tried this but it still doesn't work. Here are my settings:

Offset - 1 tick
batches - 10
fill/kill - 999999 seconds

Placed a back bet for £200. When I returned 4 hours later the back bet had been matched but no lay bet had been attempted.... also note the bet was marked as a pending fill or kill bet so settings had been applied

I've now layed manually. problem being im now at the back of the queue...

What am I doing wrong...

Regards

Have you reversed the odds display? You need to ask for a price for fill or kill to work. If you take a price you have been filled and it will offset immediately.

Hi, Yes I asked for a price, it took a couple of hours to match... but no lay offset submitted

Did you leave your computer on and BA running while you where away? if so is there any chance it went into hibination/stand by mode?

Ok thanks, it seems it started working when the i placed bets inplay, does it not work prematch?

I have now setup an amazon VPS so going to try from there, but certainly wasn't work last night on prematch, I visible see the back bet getting matched and no lay bet was placed... any ideas..

It works the same both pre or in-play.

Can you attach a full screen shot of your trading screen as soon as you have placed your opening bet (just ensure your username and balance at the bottom right are hidden).
Also click on the log tab and attach a screen shot of whats shown here for that market?

Hi,

see attached.

Obviously its not been matched yet, but ive done the same before and its been fully matched but no lay bet was attempted.

Shall i send the log after the back bet is matched? where do i get the log from?

Thanks

If you can take a screen shot of your log now (while unmatched) then again after its matched and just attach them together later - to do this click on the 'log tab' just below where your settings 'lee temp' is.

Everything there looks fine and no reason why it should not work (providing your comp does not go into sleep or hibernation mode while its waiting to be matched)

After all that its now worked :)

It must of been what you said and that my local machine was going to sleep. I'm now on a VPS so hopefully wont have any problems.

Thanks for your help
