Just tinkering with some ideas... and for some reason Im getting this wrong...

Im working on some outside lay bets, eg @ odds of 20

Id like to place the bet but if the runner comes flying through to "threaten" to actually win, Id like to get out earlier, thus reducing the damage to my wallet.

If set a 15 Tick stop trigger/place but its going the other way, ie into the odds of 40.

Any ideas how to get this right? - im probably just hitting the wrong button.

The info in this thread should help

The same principal / settings are used for automation as when manually trading and using the global settings

Hi I wonder if you could help me it's to do with automizing stop loss in guardian.
I've read the guide easy to understand when backing, but I can't understand how it works for getting out of a lay bet that's going against me ie; laid at 10 but want to get out before it hits 3 and looking like it could win and wiping my whole stake out.
In guardian automation is it as simple as entering the subtract sign - then numbers in the stop trigger tick box.

No, you don't need the subtract sign. Guardian is smart enough to work out the winning and losing directions for itself. E.g. if you laid at 10 and want to get out at 3 then enter the stop-loss at 60 ticks (because that's how many ticks there are between 10 and 3).

Thanks for the advice William S, I only ever really backed stuff before now, it's time I learned how to get laid!
