This has been discussed many times on the forum. First let me point out this has nothing, absolutely nothing to do with betangel. If you did the same thing with the web interface from betfair you would see the same thing. It's due to how betfairs matching engine works.

It's probably not BA to be honest. Other software show similar dodgy behaviors.
The simplest way to think of it is, you against betfair. If you offered 50 pounds back or lay against betfair at 10s, what would they do to profit out of that, if no one else entered the market?
1) get scared and move you into a profitable position.
2) take on your 50 pounfs and hold you in a loosing position and wait as long as they can.
If you take the example of only 2 people in a market, why would they close a position if you are offering a price of they can move it out further and play on you chasing it.

Maybe your command of English is hindering, both the explanation of your problem, and how to resolve it.
