For a while now I have noticed my Betfair access (not via BetAngel) has slowed down and become sticky, sometimes missing the opportunity to place an instant bet.

On investigation, I logged the access route when navigating to my chosen market and found that there are 3 "sticky" (slow to respond) websites accessed. The slowest by far is google analytics.

Using Firefox, I downloaded an add-on called Block Site and blocked http://www.google-analytics.com. What a transformation!! Betfair (and all other websites) now no longer access this site thus removing the Betfair delay. The Bonus is that on other websites, those slow-to-load annoying Ad's have also disappeared. The super bonus is that Google are no longer able to track my browsing history and shove unwanted Ad's in my face.

The other 2 websites that slow Betfair response are messaging.betfair.com and facebook.com. I haven't yet blocked them...but I might do so.

Enjoy

PS Blocksite warning message can be removed via the settings (where you name the websites to be blocked)

That's a good tip, it seems to work well.

I also use the AdBlock Plus for Firefox add-in...it comes with a huge pre-loaded list of ad servers which is updated regularly. Works a treat and keeps things nice and quick.

i switched to opera browser last month and found it much better .
it has a speed dial function that can be turned on,and its very good.
also opera offers a free vpn,we know that most offer for a while and then charge u,or suspend after 1 gb or so.but not opera ,the vpn is completely free and unlimited,
