i feel sure the answer i need is simple - i am testing laying the FAV, i'm looking for only laying the bet once - even though there might be multiple times the rule runs.
i dont want the rule to trigger - place a bet and repeat
I have
24secs before the off
12 triggers with a wait of 3secs
Parameters - Best Market Price
Conditions
Not in Play
Lay Price > 1.2
Lay Price < 2.0
i set this thinking it would stop the repeat bet - no luck
Number Matched Bets on the selection = 0
any ideas ?

I got it to trigger just the once in the 4.20 Downpatrick matched at 1.73
If you're just doing a straight lay you could leave out the 12 triggers and just trigger once at 24 seconds, and it will cancel at in-play if the fav has been bordering either trigger point but not broken them before the race begins
Can't see any other odds-on shots in todays later races at the moment to try it further, a few around 2.5 but nothing lower yet. You could change the price conditions to 2.5-3.0 or 3.0-3.5 or run a few combinations in multiple copies of BA to see if it triggers the way you want it to.

Hi Dallas - thanks for the reply, i had looked at kill/fill before posting, among my confusion decided it was not needed. Since you have pointed me there again - i tried setting it - no luck -suspect though it is my need to understand this setting better
