One thing I don't like about it is that you have to hold it all the time - a laptop on the other hand sits on your lap.

I agree it is more of a novelty item but for gadget guys it is nice.

I loved the idea of this project that I stumbled across sometime ago - I guess the Ipad would replace it:

Also I think the Ipad would make a pretty cool remote control for your home entertainment setup.

Any chance of a clue :?:

not if you buy one of the cases that puts it at an angle or you can buy the dock so it sits at at an angle on your desk.

I have all my speakers connected up by a wifi system that plugs into the docks and is now controlled by my ipad. I can drag and drop speakers too so from my ipad I can play music in my bathroom, kitchen, living room and bedroom! All at once in sync or select what rooms I want.

Not exactly showering it with glory at the BBC:

I don't see it doing what the Ipod did for the music player market :!:

You have to spend your profits on something, and looks like you have lost a bit of weight to well done Peter.

LOL, I played "Oh when the saints" on it last night!

It's grown on me a lot since I bought it and I'm using it in ways I didn't use a laptop which is interesting. Still exploring.

Trying downloading Wired magazine, an excellent example of what's possible.
