Interesting ruling as Betfair have made similar decisions in the past.

I remember the thread on Betfair about it when it happened, smarkets made all sorts of excuses finally settling on the customers account had been compromised. Good to see IBAS have ruled in favour of the punter not smarkets. I see smarkets even added extra t&c's to cover this, it'll be interesting to see if they now remove their t&c's about 'palpable' bets due to the IBAS ruling.

Glad to hear they settled in the punters favour, though it should never of had to get that far, not heard of Betfair refusing to settle any of the bets when something similar but larger happened on their exchange a week or so ago

Only difference was in the Betfair case a punter was on the other end of the bet, if it'd been Betfair's own bots losing out I'm sure they'd look to void the same as smarkets did.
