Frustrating so far. Slow grinding moves and fickle punters

Long time lurker first post wow!!jimibt wrote:now, this was a nice double entendre (11 and 15 were the magic numbers);)
Anywayss I have a question on, How are these kind of moves best explained in the chart above?
Big enough drift, and then all of a sudden reverse all the way back down?
What kind of market knowledge or indicator are present to detect when price action will move this way.
From what I have seen in the markets this kind of price is not exactly uncommon either?

Check this. This was literally the last race (15:30). The low of the graph occurred 5 minutes out (same kinda shape). Possibly punters see it as a poor value? The key for me is seeing some big stakes going in at the available price/resistance forming (traded column).dublindapper wrote:Long time lurker first post wow!!jimibt wrote:now, this was a nice double entendre (11 and 15 were the magic numbers);)

i think once you get that far below evens, it doesn't take much pressure to send it back north. as for the arch shaped retracements, these, more often that not, coincide with a price band being breached (i.e. crossing over from 5-6, 9's to 10, 10-11 etc). the momentum of these moves makes it rocket a little as folks either back in or lay out of the trade. it's then (sometimes) just a matter of analysing the background noise in the hope of finding the sweet spot to enter again (lol, it all sounds straightfwd when described thus... we all know the reality).
anyway, keep an eye on those price crossovers and it should help you in determining some reasons why the price is behaving as it is.

so, this was a cheeky one here. literally hit 5.6 on the way back up and then showed signs of weakening. time to pile in for the last 90 seconds... then exit on the next leveling point (5)
