I take some solace from P J O'Rourkes assessment. Hilary will be bad but in conventional ways. Donald will be an unmitigated disaster, bad in both conventional and unconventional ways. Vote Hilary for a bad but conventional outcome.LeTiss 4pm wrote:It's a fairly grim choice for the Americans. I have a feeling that Trump is going to get a lot of people voting for him last minute, because they're simply sick of modern politics.
It's very un-pc to say in public that you support Trump, but I bet there are hoards that can't wait to get in and tick that box.
The Brexit market is still burnt in my mind. If this one doesn't have another twist or turn, I will be very suprised, and disappointed!

You say you want to see a big election, and then this happens: https://youtu.be/dGJIB5cO0cQ (warning: contains X rated content that cannot be unseen).
Now, imagine the BBC reaction if it had been Trump in that video...

Looks like it's all over for the Donald. Republican politicians don't want anything to do with him, afraid as they are for their own career.
Hillary can relax. She will not go to jail.
It's an interesting dilemma: a great many people don't want either candidate to become president. But voting for a third party candidate would increase the risk of putting the one you least like in the oval office. Only with enough other people voting the same way you would get what you want. From the polls, that's clearly not going to happen and therefore you vote for someone you don't like either.
