Negative Account Balance
The benefit is just users can place stakes below £2, pre-play there is no delays to worry about so users with low banks can use much lower stakes per bet but even using stakes below £2 it would still require about 8 bets per min each min for the whole hour to exceed the limit then repeating that hour after hourr to rack up a serious amount of charges so its not something that most users will come anywhere near too

My 16,000 transaction in an hour were made using 15 second fill or kills on several runners trading gaps that often disappeared before the best even reached the market LOL... spread this across several races and ...Dallas wrote:The benefit is just users can place stakes below £2, pre-play there is no delays to worry about so users with low banks can use much lower stakes per bet but even using stakes below £2 it would still require about 8 bets per min each min for the whole hour to exceed the limit then repeating that hour after hourr to rack up a serious amount of charges so its not something that most users will come anywhere near too
I have had a negative balance before now, yes.
I placed a bet on Tiger Woods to get 3 or more Birdies in a round. He got 2 Birdies and an Eagle. I phoned up Betfair when I wasn't paid for my "win" and they paid out there and then. The next time I logged in they had a change of heart and decided that I had, in fact lost the bet.
If you bet on a player to score a hat trick in football and he scores 4 - you win, dont you?
Agh well ,you win some you lose some.

I was trying a strategy in practice mode for £10 stakes and it appeared to make a profit. I moved it to live but my bank could only afford £1 stakes. Still turned a profit, but with the transaction charges is now a non starter.workpeter wrote:Why/how so many bets under £2? I thought Betfair didnt like this. Just curious.
The Betfair team have now reversed the charges as it was the first (and only!) time it had happened.
