This week, I guess it is hard to tell but I think I noticed that come a evening when people come home from work, I am not reading the markets the same as I was in the afternoon, now I am a novice at this but do people have a different strategy come the evening races.

On two nights this week (my first week) I have had the afternoons profit wiped out in the evening racing.

This could be my inexperience, it could be fatigue or it could be that evening races should be treated in a different way.

Yes, evening racing in the winter is generally only AW racing. So it will behave very differently from 'normal' markets or afternoon markets. They tend to move a lot more and a lot quicker than jumps or afternoon cards in general.

I think so many sports traders lose on BF because they have to work full time in either mentally or physically (or both) stressful jobs. Coming home after a stressful day at work and then expecting to make money from the markets is a big ask, its not surprising so few people can do it.

I tried trading financial markets many years ago in the evenings after working all day in a stressful job, I think one of the reasons I failed (not the only one) was that I was too tired to make calm, logical decisions when under time and financial pressure in a trading situation.

I wonder if, for a lot of people that work full time they might be better off heading down the automation route. They could work out strategies and rules off line for their system, when they are feeling fresh and relaxed. Then put it into play on the day time racing while they are at work.
