I've been using Bet angel for about 5/6 weeks but this is my first post here.

At first I made quite a bit with laying to back and then moving to just laying, but sadly losing alot in the process (now £500 in debt to myself).

As a result of this I thought I'd try scalping, which I've played around with automation bots a bit with getting around ~£50 from greyhounds alone, annoyingly finding out later that I made most of the money from lay bets that hadn't be matched but won.

Does the stake amount affect the amount you can make from scalping? When not automating I've been clicking "make market" then greening all when I've got both sides matched, which works most of the time until the market moves against you. Say If I staked £1 and then £100 for the same race at the same odds and horse/dog, What would make more money by %?

Thanks

Apart from the rounding of pennies using £100 will make or lose you 100 times the amount of using £1 stakes at the same odds.

But the odds which you back and lay at will change the amount you win or lose per tick.
So using a £50 stake to 1 tick scalp
Between 4.0 & 6.0 = £5 per tick (before greening)
Between 6.0 & 10.0 = £10 per tick (before greening)
Between 10.0 & 20.0 = £25 per tick (before greening)
and so on .....

Interesting, thanks for the reply. Is there a list somewhere which shows these?

Haha, indeed. I've read quite a few similar horror stories on here since I started, but luckily I'm the calm and restraint loser. No smashed up computers, apart from maybe a few expletives at the top of my lungs every now and then, lol.

I'm not really one for forums. I hate their design, especially but not limited to these horrible old school phpBB ones, and have been known to spend more time on them than doing what the forums were made for. Plus, I'm the kind of person to take the idea of a ball and then re-invent the wheel with it, which says a lot.
