Fame and Glory makes the grade

I am sure you will all know I have never been impressed with Fame and Glory but today he did put up a battling performance. The time was good and the way he refused to be passed was admirable.

I do wish they would stop this lark of pacemakers though as I don't think it should be allowed. That race was set-up perfectly for Fame and Glory and he did perform but I think it should be a fair fight between horses that are rated high enough to contest the race not a hare that is rated 20 pounds inferior. They have done this in Dubai for their big meetings and I hope we follow suit.

If you want to see a bad ride then just watch the re-run of this race and have a look at Frankie as he takes Cavalryman up blind alley after blind alley. I am not saying he would have won the race but each way punters were robbed and must have been seething!
