Trading Diary Poll

I thought I would conduct a poll to see whether readers are interested in me continuing my trading diary.

I have no intention to start a blog site, gloat any fancy results if there is to be or mislead anyone. Or become some kind of trading seller in the future. My purpose for the Diary is to help me and in return help others get to where they want to be on there trading journey.

I have received a lot of advice which has really made me think but at the same time alot of wasted time.

However, I am struggling to deal with people who seem to want to dig at me.
I spent my whole evening frustrated which resulted in poor trading on the greyhound markets (thankfully practise mode) over something pathetic when I could have atleast used the time shaggin my beautiful missus or painting the skirting boards or something.

I am taking this so seriously and for some reason, I dont know why but its chipping at me inside and it sounds really pathetic.

If I fail to even reach more then 10 votes I will stop my diary and find another way of means to help me.

And no before anyone else says, this isnt some plea for attention. I just dont want to waste my time if its going to more bad then good.
If you guys are interested I will continue.

At the end of the day, I am living, breathing, sleeping trading and I find this forum very useful.

I don't think anyone is saying your misleading them, just confusing some forum members.
And when you say your "living breathing and sleeping trading " .. Then that could be the problem, I know someone who trades successfully and spends no more than 4/5 hours a day ,.. 3/4 days a week and spends the rest af the week buying and selling at auctions and having lots of holidays !!

You can get all the information and advice you want / when you want it from this forum .. Without doing your diary and you wouldn't feel the way you do when you get what you see as criticism .

You don't need to ask others . It's a forum for everyone . Just do what you want . And try to enjoy your trading , cod if you don't it's not worth doing !!

The Poll doesn't seem to be working, but I do hope you continue with your diary, however if you think its not going to help you in the long term then I wouldn't want you to carry on with it just because people like me like to see how your are getting on.

I'm happy to continue reading it but I think it's more of a question of whether you are. It's obviously getting you down and in all honesty I probably would be as well. I'm a little over sensitive though haha.

You just have to read an article or forum, or the comments below a YouTube video, to see there are plenty of trolls out there ready to pounce on whatever they deem worthy of their scorn. So what can you do about it?

i have to agree that airing all your failings in public will do you more harm than good in the long run, there is no *undo* button for SEO and google searches. if i were you, i'd seek advice for sure, but in the background, i'd quietly work away at finessing my strategy and keep an excel spreadsheet or even open an online trading journal that is totally private to you but will allow you to measure your performance. You are not going to get any meaningful metrics from your current approach. A quick google search brought this up, not sure of it's taliored more twds fx/spot trading, but may give you a few ideas.

in a word, you're approach, although commendable in spirit, will drag you down as you'll have to wrestle with negative comments a lot of the time. If the vote function worked, i'll vote that you stop the diary to save you from mental anguish.

Check out the one wiv' me comparing PW to Mystic Meg. The photos are "definitive proof", I may even do a wikipedia on that! (it's the one where PW showed that PW can do card tricks as well). PW did not moan, block, ban, scream, shout - etc. etc. etc.

Hopefully he took it with the gentle humour it was meant with.

My advice to you: NEVER, EVER, show your Missus the paragraph where you put 'shaggin my beautiful Missus' and 'painting the skirting boards' on a par! If you do, you may find that any meals she prepares for you in future, are either 'gritty' (ground glass!) or taste 'funny' laced with a strong laxative! Just an observation! LOL
