Hi all

My routine is to set automation for my horse bets in the early morning, go to work and let the automation kick in in the afternoon. But I seem to have come against a block in that the automation doesn't fire because of Betfair's 4 hour auto logout.

I work in a prison and don't have access to the internet through the day to keep myself logged in. Although Betfair setting appear to say "you may set an auto-logout", this actually seems compulsory and the only choice is whether you have the max 4 hours auto logout time or a shorter period.

Anyone have a simple or more complex answer or way to work around this? Thoughts appreciated.....

Are you using betangel? I am not sure on the internals but I would have thought betangel sends a keep alive request every now and again, as I have left it running for days before :?

You sure your laptop is not just going to sleep? What error are you getting?

The 4 hour logout only applies to the Betfair website session cookie, all the API software make KeepAlive requests to keep your session logged until you quit the program like LinusP says.

Is this some routine you've written yourself?
