A quick google of the mobile number 0624311458 returns a few results:
http://francy-annu.com/B/BENHAMMOUDA-1.php being the most interesting one.
Michel Benhammouda from Rue Robert Noue, 17140, Lagord, France
has the same phone number as Mr Delesse's skype profile, quite a coincidence. Maybe they share the same phoneEww maybe they share the same underpants too!

Oh I happily would, but do you think the Germans would ask for help in anything ever?LeTiss 4pm wrote:

You've given Betfair absolutely no excuses Dublin Flyer, for not checking any accounts linked to that man or that address. They could easily shut him down, even if they cannot gather enough evidence to contact the police. Anything just to stop him transferring money from people's accounts into his own

Sad thing is, weekly or fortnightly, there's a news report of someone in court or jailed for emptying the bank account of an elderly family member/neighbour/friend. The worlds heart bleeds for them and people set up Gofundme pages for them.
Someone naive or inexperienced innocently gets fleeced in a pyramid scheme not understanding how they work, or by a cocksucker like the Frenchman, and the victims are made out to be the bad guys - oh they were involved in investing or gambling, they got what was coming to them!
Bullshit, a thief is a thief is a thief!

Interesting coincidence! But surely not? He would not be that stupid to put his real phone number in Skype so people could search for it. More likely he's incorporated that Michel address, maybe a friend who doesn't know what he's up to. Without being racist, the way he wrote and manner did sound like someone of African origin trying to do a 419.Dublin_Flyer wrote:I think the phone number on the Skype is incorrect as the 0 after the international code +33 should be dropped for international calls and the +33 dropped for domestic calls, it's extremely rare for the 0 to be kept for international calls in my experience.

But the IP address I got from Betfair is Luxembourg. He could be moving around lapping it up with all his winnings or he's using a VPN.
So the issue here is for people not to be warned about Jean Delesse, Ferdinand Delesse, Gustave01 or Michel Benhammouda since all these are aliases...but the Betfair scam that allows your account to be emptied and transferred to their opposing matched betting accounts. It's a joke that they allow a system that can be cheated so easily like this to be legal.

No problem. It's not the first time I've been online to warn people about a scam! You will cry if you know how much I lost before to scams. C'est la vie. It doesn't seem it but I'm definitely more careful now. If this was me years ago I would have just sent him by Neteller lol.Trader_Tom wrote:I don't even know where to start with this. What is admirable though is your ability to come on here and admit fault for the betterment of the greater good.
Please please please please be more skeptical in the future though. I don't think I can take it knowing you're out there getting scammed any more
For starters, he overlooked you looking at the bets he placed, so he may have been naive with the trail that leads to his doorbigfatwinner wrote: Interesting coincidence! But surely not? Secondly, you're not being racist. If Dublin Flyer is correct, his name is a name shared by many North African Muslims. You cannot avoid asking questions about his reasons for raising money through cyber crime. Personally, I think Betfair have a duty to follow up any leads you and other users here can provide, then pass it onto relevant authorities. This could go deeper than we ever imagined

I went a bit deeper LeTiss, didn't include it in the initial post in case I was accused of being a wannabee CSI/Sherlock Holmes type! (Although I'm a CSI fan, love the fight scene in the 1st Sherlock Holmes film, and I work in a science industry)LeTiss 4pm wrote: Secondly, you're not being racist. The name of the guy who shares the phone number doesn't appear that common at all from my googling!
There's the standard google autocorrect which includes Michael instead of Michel.
That produces many more results. One eye catcher for me was a Michael Benhammouda. French guy too and plays poker. Had a few wins but nothing major but likes to play around the Bordeaux area casinos. Only a couple of hours drive from the tiny town of Lagord. Stands to reason that a poker player who likes the €200+ buy-ins might be a bit of a gambler?
Age is 40ish going by Linkedin/Facebook profiles, so it's out by 15 years or so compared to the Skype age. Works as a Sales Manager too, they're always trying to sell you something they can't provide!
Any forumites offering to contact the French Embassy/Consulate in your local area regarding Jean Ferdinand Delesse, on behalf of a business, checking the validity of a persons National ID Card and name, before conducting business with them? Seems like a legit prove-able check of ID to me.
Regarding the 419 I'm not sure, in my vast experience of dating/hookup sites or apps, there's always the lack of I in the reply when you ask a question.
DF: Are you doing anything nice this weekend?
419: Am doing nothing
DF: Oh I see, so what are you at today?
419: Am working, but I need $2150 because customs have stopped my timber shipment and I must pay duty, can you help me pls?
DF: I certainly could, but unfortunately all the pictures you have sent me show you're a beautiful white girl. I'm only into black girls. Sorry about that.

That's what I did also....I googled Michel B and Google said do you mean Michael B so I did that also. Some poker player there in tournaments. And then I remembered what he told me one time and thought that's another coincidence....

If i was scammer then they need proof it with facts and a scammer is a guy that steal 2-300 k € , not 800€!! Because he lost profits in gambling
Also in poker. Sad but true
Could it really be possible that we have got our guy lol? It can't be surely. He can't be that dumb if he can match the 1.01 bets and steal my 2k from the account. If I set out on a path to scam I would make sure all my names, numbers and ID was fake or belongs to another person and nothing belongs to me.

Just looked more into his betting history to see if there was any Poker table bets in the casino....there wasn't, only Blackjack. He won about 300 GBP back to get it to 2400 and then lost the rest on football.
