hey guys just wondering whats everyones opinion on laying the field first of does it work i in I've seen it work plenty of times but is it reliable long term? also what type of races do you like to bet on can Australian races be portable for this strategy too? does it work with trots? and the most important question at what odds do you lay the field?

thanks brandon

I don't have any stats to back up my claims, but I feel that in the last two weeks here in Australia I've seen all the 1.01 matched on horses that have gone on to get beaten at least 5-10 times. Both gallops and harness.
Not sure if it's a lack of preloaded money, or somebody with an extremely itchy trigger finger

It feels like at times the in play markets on Australian have no real money in except their market makers. Ive been playing quite a bit in play the past couple of weeks and it appears to me they just hit into their own money, maybe to scare people in a loosing open position or trigger bots to back into the market?

There's at least one track in the UK where short priced horses often get turned over before the finish line due to a short run in off the bend. Very much like taking candy off a child.
