Just had a bet matched @ 1.01 after the race (1s before the market was suspended) on a horse that lost.
Is there any way of stopping this?
Here is the Guardian log:

If the market was still open when you placed your bet there's nothing BetAngel can do to stop it being matched if the odds are available on the exchange. The bigger question is why would you be backing it at 1.01 in the first place as the winner was clear and the runner up was never a 1.01 shot.
Anther thing to note is that sub £2 bets require a bit of manipulation to get round the £2 minimum back requirement and therefore take around 3 times longer to reach the market. 3 seconds at the end of a race is a long time.

Just to add to this the latest version of Bet Angel V1.46.1 uses Betfairs new rule for placing small stakes so all bets inc. greening are now faster than before.spreadbetting wrote:Anther thing to note is that sub £2 bets require a bit of manipulation to get round the £2 minimum back requirement and therefore take around 3 times longer to reach the market. 3 seconds at the end of a race is a long time.

K, from what I've seen of the documentation I read it as only applying to laying higher prices to allow a minimum payout of £10 in line with the BSP, I wasn't aware they'd reduced the limit for backing so sub £2 back bets are now allowed also.Dallas wrote:

In tht case what 'Spreadbetting' posted was correct, the faster placement of small bets is only on the latest Betfair version.Nathane30 wrote:this is on the BetAngel for Betdaq software.
If you say the back odds must be over these odds that should solve your issueNathane30 wrote:i may add a rule to say odds must be over say 1.2.... would that solve the problem?
Just checking there it does apply to back bets but only if the potential payout is also greater to £10. ie, £1 @ 11s will now place much faster. So in the OP's situation his bet will still of been subject to the original sub £2 rule.spreadbetting wrote:K, from what I've seen of the documentation I read it as only applying to laying higher prices to allow a minimum payout of £10 in line with the BSP, I wasn't aware they'd reduced the limit for backing so sub £2 back bets are now allowed also.Dallas wrote:
