It shows Betfair in a terrible light, and damages their reputation even further
It's totally unacceptable to pass the buck and say it's your fault. That's like the bank washing their hands with elderly people when they unwittingly hand over the pin on the telephone! "I'm sorry madam, no crime has been committed, as you willingly gave them your details"
It is no different then going to your local bookies and seeing some guy putting 1,000s through the FOBT'S and it clearly obvious there person doing it doesnt even own a razor or barely eats a meal all day and still the bookies do nothing about it.
Betfair are no different in this situation because if they do restrict this guy it could mean that they have to take responsibility. In which will mean they are vulnerable to being sued by the victims of this guys actions.
Yes they should ban him but they will never never do tht becuse most money that is put through exchanges, bookies and casinos is dirty money any way.
Its a sad fact that the majority of the money traders make are from bettors whos money doesnt belong to them in the first place.
