Looked at it again and can't work out why it cancelled the lays and tried to green up?? Any suggestions?

Do you have a seperate 'green up' rule triggering to a profit? that would cancel any exsisting offset green ups already in the market

I do, when it hits £1 but this trade ended up an £11 loss for some reason??

It looks like your original lay at 2.78 was matched before it could be cancelled by the profit green trigger, which then casued a double green up which lead to further profit green up triggers after the rule re-armed
You would need to check your matched bets to see if and when the following offset was matched to confirm this
Lay bet placed on Timoteo at 2.78. Entirely unmatched when it initially reached the market. Ref: 10025

With more lay bets now matched if the green up @ 2.78 was unmatched then as the price fell it started triggering a loss green up rule at 1.55 and below

Ah, many thanks. Any way to limit this happening again or was it just a fluke timing issue? Suspect lose the separate green up rule?

Its mostly like a freak one off timing issue and the way the odds then happened to move immedietly afterwards, these things can and will happen from time to time.

I would just keep a copy of the log and if it does happen again or you get something very similar then maybe start looking at the timings being used or add in some condtions to try and protect yourself from it.

My understanding is that sometimes for various reasons transactions are delayed before being actioned by BF servers.

This ultimately means that in certain situations you could end up in a tricky situation. i.e. Having double green-ups. This doesn't happen if you use the BF cashout function. They obviously have safe guards in place which are not available via the API for software vendors etc.

The reasons why transactions are delayed could be due to one or more of the following:

- ISP speed.
- Bottlenecks at the BF server end.
- Constantly trying to green-up without confirmation of previous trades being successful or not.
- Triggers not being logically constructed with the appropriate delays in re-arming etc.

There maybe situations whereby you have a number of different transaction types all queued up waiting to be actioned by BF.
