Help with new strategy query

Hello

I'm looking to create an automated strategy. Just wondering if this is possible and if so, how can I create it on the automation settings?

I am looking to back the first horse that reaches 1.25 or lower, but only if the second horse is at 15.0 or higher. Looking to trade out at 1.15 for a small profit.

If the odds go against me, I'm looking to hedge out for a small loss at 1.3 or nearest odds.

If someone could talk me through this i'd be ever so grateful.

Start by downoading this example rule from the shared files section

and add the following changes in the pararmeters tab 'global actions' area
Offset with greening
5 ticks
Batches 1

On the condtions tab chnage the odds from 1.35 to 1.25 (this is where the odds have to trade at or lower to trigger your bet @ 1.20)

and then add the following new condtion

Fixed odds condtion
Selection 'Betfair order of favourtism 2'
back price is
'Greater' than 15.0

Rather than use a stop loss (which can only trigger once) i would set a monetry stop value, how to add this is detailed in this thread

Thank you for the fast reply

I did the parameters etc like you said and also the money "stop loss". I've loaded up the guardian, selected all races and selected "apply rules for selected markets" but I've had no bets matched or by the looks of it, attempted to be made.

Just wondering if I've done something wrong?

The cause was your green up profit and loss condtions where added to your back bet rule, you need seperate rule types to do each job.
ALso if setting a profit and loss condtion seperate green up rules will be required because when using the conditons greater than £3 and less than -£5 both cant be satifiied at the same time therefore conflict with each other and neither will trigger.

I've made the ammened changes so you can see how it should be.

Only thing i changed on your back rule was add fill/kill - this will ensure your offset bet (greening up lay) is only placed if your back bet is matched
