might have been better if uttoxeter was abandoned; if it suffers delays it will clash with cheltenham.

The worse migraine of my life has ended what looks the best day of January for me.

I can't believe the news about Many Clouds. Tragic.

at least it did not fall break a leg and its neck, sceaming and thrashing around in agony until the vet could get to him to put it out of its missery.

One of my favourite racehorses and had the good fortune to see him win on his debut at Wetherby, and again when he showed some of those battling qualities when he ploughed through the mud to win at Exeter the following year .

Winner of 12 races including a Hennessy Gold Cup and a Grand National .. Oliver Sherwoid was very emotional when he said

“He wanted to win that race, by God he wanted to win it. He was beat at the last, he fought the last 50 yards to get up and win. What more can you say? They’re dreams, horses like that, complete dreams. I’m sad for Trevor [Hemmings, owner] and my team, all the team at Rhonehurst. I’ve been in the game 32 years, training, now and horses like that don’t come along very often. So you’ve got to enjoy it. It happens to us all, we’ll all go one day. You’ve got to be philoophical about it and just enjoy the moments: the National, the Hennessy. I want one thing now, I want Thistlecrack to go and win the Gold Cup, to just show it wasn’t a fluke.”

A lovely ultra game racehorse, in the Persian Punch mould , who brought joy to so many

Very sad and will miss him

According to the internet Magic Bow has won the 18:10 yet the market is still active and full of bot money. I assume any orders placed after the start time won't count?
