I saw on a blog earlier that Betfair are giving them away in some football promotion - not sure what you have to do to get one?

I guess you will be snapping your one in two Peter before the kids get their hands on it

I am finding them a total grind, turn up the sound, really get into the match soaking up the atmosphere and all you can hear is 30,000 bees swarming around the room. I just can't stand it anymore, I now have the sound muted.

Now that Ronaldo has said they make him unable to concentrate, I bet Spanish stadia will be full of the sounds of the vuvuzela every time he steps up to take a penalty or free kick next season!

Forget signing or atmosphere this damn thing has killed them. It's ruining my enjoyment of the tournament to be honest, I have started to turn the sound off, it's so annoying.

They shoud definitely be banned. Firstly, they not part of S.Africa culture, they've only appeared in games since circa 1990s, secondly they are disrupting the games themsleves, players can't communicate on the field. Thirdly, and most importantly, sound has been measured at 127 decibels (source: Wikipeda), this is enough to cause hearing damage (source: Wikipedia). They are causing hearing damage, they are disrupting the game, they are not part of S.Africa culture. Bottom line: they should be banned at once.

I agree, but in the current politically correct climate, officials would be laying themselves open to accusations of cultural insensitivity and/or cultural imperialism, or even racism if they were to ban them.
