Hello all, i'm trying out Betangel in PRACTIC MODE and the market got suspendid. I place £100 in the market and Layed £100 also at lower odd's. I hit green up and Hedged it accross the feild. When the market was suspedid It said in green on both sides £225... would I have made that amount as profit or would it be my money back and £25 profit :?:

or none of the above :?: Thank you for taking your time to read this and yes it would be nice to get a reply!! , GOOD LUCK TO ALL.

The green numbers are all lovely delicious (potential) profit.

Your current balance will always reflect the worst case outcome for your market...that is, no further amount will be deducted when the event finishes.

Where all possible outcomes are green, your balance will be as it was before the event....and the green profit amount (minus commission) will be added to your balance after it finishes.

If your market has a mixture of returns/liabilities, the difference between the actual outcome and the worst outcome will be credited to you after the event. So if your horses stood to return -100, -20 & +100 ...and the -20 horse won...you would receive £80 back into your account, if the +100 horse won you would get £200 and if the -100 horse won, your balance would remain the same when the event ends. (but obvious -£100 from where it started)

I hope I haven't made all that sound more complex than it is...try it with some £2's in live mode and you'll see how it works.

...to put it simply...potential losses are deducted form your account straight away and potential gains are added after the event. It's so they don't have to chase you for losses after the event, and so you don't spend winnings that might not be actually be yours (ie if an event was abandonded before it finished)

Thank you, I Totaly get it but I just can't get over the fact that so many markets get suspended...is that because im in practice mode?

If I was in live mode that would have been a successful trade?

If so then I think I have finally cracked it and understand how to become a part time sports trader.

Thank you so much for your reply.

Happy trading.

Suspended doesn't mean void.....All markets become 'suspended' at the end of the event and some do if there is a major change in circumstances that some people may be able to see before others know about it. (such as a goal or penalty decision).

A mid-event suspension will be followed by a resumption of the market, and any position you have established with still be valid. Practice mode and live mode work in the same way in this regard.
