Somebody really wants to back 'Moayadd' in the first at Kempton, massive, massive money for it.

I know Mulholland's runners like a gamble but that is just nuts with that form

Touched a decent price in-running before nabbing it close. Ten seconds behind standard time, that actually looks really dodgy to me.

What do you mean by "dodgy"?

ok, been on the Bet Angel Horse Racing Workshop with JollyGreen, (2nd Sept last year), on the day, one of the 'students', I think his name was Shaun on the day asked if he took any notice of bookies prices when looking at opening a position to which he categorically said no, the market will do what the market does, I hear so much conflict when it comes to trading, how is a newbie supposed to gain any trust with what he hears or gets taught, is it really a case of falling over that many times get hurt, get taught a lesson, get run over until you either drop or pull through?
I think you will find some traders use them and find them very useful, other traders pay no attention to them whatsoever. I seem to recall another thread not that long ago about this very topic, do a search and I am sure you will find it.

read some Dick Francis' books, it's all true.

That was blatant in my view. as i could see what was going on laid in running and backed out at evens for a nice profit.

I really do feel sometimes that more could have been offered on the Horse Racing Workshop, yes I know we had the chance to ask questions but sometimes you get so wrapped up in the day you forget, anyway.. back to today's racing
Did you have much horse race trading experience before you went on the course. Peter Lee and others have said you will get more out of it if you have say a years trading experience before taking it. This makes good sense to me, there is so much to take in on these courses, if its all new to you then a lot of the information will not be taken in by you.

I assume most people taking the course will watch a few and perhaps lots of PWs trading vids on youtube, but that's not the same as actually having traded a few thousand races yourself. If I ever decide to take the course I would ensure I have traded for at least a year before I did so.

Korratt, your post reminded me of something I was reading last night. I've found it and put it in the attachment for you. (accepting the risk of the copywrite police).

This section follows a chapter about how fundamentally unpredictable all markets are. It's from a guy with 18yrs experience teaching financial trading.
(I've decided Feb is the month to catch up on some reading to try and improve me, rather than constantly trying to improve my trading)
I hope it will resonate with you.

Are you referring to MOAYADD in the first at Kempton?

RE MOAYADD

Nothing wrong with that run at all, horse was odds on a Newcastle last time and came with a strong late run, trading as high as 4.0 in running.

If the race was slow as Eular said wouldnt have suited him as he doesnt appear to have a turn of foot

Very well related horse,to some listed and group class horse, and a full brother to YOUMKIN who won his only race as a 2yo last season, very easily.

Was a Godophin horse and had a Derby entry but never ran, went to John Ferguson for a NH carreer but never ran

Sold at sales to Neil Mulholland for 7000gns and started 33/1,100/1 twice, and 150/1 on first runs for him(all on turf)

Well backed at Chelmsford over 7f , then won at Newcastle over 10f and tonight at Kempton over 11f

Well handicapped today even with a 6ib penalty, as rated 53 by BHA,dropped in class to a class 7 and well drawn.plus trainer has had 18 winners in last three weeks

Given that the stable is predominantly a NH one we might see him over hurdles, tho his sire Street Crydoesnt get that many jump winners, but does ok(another eX Ferguson horse by Street Cry didnt do too badly over hurdles).

No doubt will be raised by the handicapper again, but lightly raced and may improve furthur.Connections have got there money back already !!

Nothing dodgy about his inplay price tho !!

I was shocked it was backed in so low pressure off but I don't see how there's any evidence of foul play here. Looks a progressive stayer.

Has anyone got a chart of that huge gamble in the 7.20 Wolverhampton tonight. Got too excited and never took a screen snap. 3.5 down to about 2.1 ish in last few mins before post time that race. Thanks
