Its dreadful if no one wants to bet on it yes

Canterbury has probably put on more prizemoney than Sandown today, doesn't mean Canterbury has more liquidity ;)

It's nice to see some decent racing on over the next two days, been dreadful this week.
I think your being rather harsh in that sweeping statement Euler, whether from a trading or quality of racing perspective

On Sunday we had 4 grade1 races in Ireland plus listed races at Exeter

On Monday Winx equaled Phar Lap's record of 14 straight wins when winning the Grouo 2 Apollo stakes

We have had numerous horse rated over 100 running on the all weather and most days there have been Class2/ Class3 handicaps or conditions races on the all weather one worth 32,000, a couple worth 16,000, and several worth 11,00 plus .

We had 2 16,000 races a Kelso yesterday, and a couple of 6,000 plus ones on the under card , and some very interesting runners

Plus we had Meydan with 4 group races and the likes of Zarak and Ertijaal( one of the fastest horses in the world )running .

Decent field sizes on most all weather races and competitive in the low grade ones

And we have Sandown today

And that's dreadful ?

The thing is when it comes to trading if no one is betting then its as good as useless.

IMO the last few saturdays have all had top quality racing and still the markets have been poor.

I think Euler is speaking of a trading perspective.

Yes but its nice to appreciate the sports we trade on,and this week has been a decent week prize money wise and class of horses, because at the end of the day without it there wouldnt be no trading.
arent most week days between the King George and Cheltenham poor, and this week as been better than most surely.

So come on Eular doff your cap to the likes of Winx,Sizing John,Ertijaal,Zarak,Natural Beauty,Cyrus Darius, and old Watersmeet(another great front running ride by Joe Fanning !!)

I'm talking about the trading conditions in general, not specific races or horses. But it's normal for sketchy markets at this time of year. I'm often on holiday during this period.

I think its more due to the fact theres no direction today, the price movements are just so dull.

I'm always in my medication when I come on here !!
You enjoy your horses and surely appreciate when decent horses run ( and there's been some good' uns this week.

As Euler says ..."I'm talking about the trading conditions in general, not specific races or horses. But it's normal for sketchy markets at this time of year. I'm often on holiday during this period"

Well don't trade and if you like horse racing just enjoy. You can still learn from just watching .

It's always like this at this time of year, you know what your going get, so enjoy as I always say !!

Always look on the bright side of life ........

Went too quick out in front, had a couple of small bets on the winner, always staying on. Shame about the leader though, always sad to see a horse fall :(

question for the experienced on here, the first February you traded, how did you handle it mentally?, it's obviously arguably the worst time of year, another forum that I read members say, don't worry, you're so close, etc etc which to be honest doesn't really help when you trade every day & you try & try & try until you feel drained, basically what gets you through this time of year?
