I'm aware that Sporting servers don't allow rival vendor apps but will they allow me to host my own API-NG app? Want to be sure before I pay. Thanks.

Setup an account with AWS, you can use a micro instance free for a year!

As Betfair direct traffic through a DOS service, is a 12 ping to the API about as good as it gets? (using PSPing, not the ping from the internet connection) Thanks.

Prior to the DDOS stuff you could get almost zero but it's added at least 10ms based on what I've experienced.

The AWS was Dublin but its returning strange ping returns. either ~12 or ~29. The previous VPS I was using is better.

Yeah, I get those odd ping times too. No idea why that is. The new London datacenter is marginally better, but still has the same problem.

For the moment, my strategies don't seem that time-sensitive, and I just love the AWS management features that I don't want to move to anything else. I'd be interested to hear what the other options are though. e.g. 98lewisj what server was that you were testing just now? And does anyone know what the Sporting Servers are getting? Would be interesting to know if anyone's tried Google or Microsoft's offerings too.
