Hi everyone, I recently purchased bet angel pro for the 3 months package as I got sick of having to wait for horse racing markets to get liquid so you can get better odds lol I have been using the practice feature to get a feel for things but just wanted to know why I bet I placed under the automaton tab was killed literally during the start time I stated?
So I clicked on the automation tab and selected 4:20pm Catterick and created a new rule with instructions to place 1 back bet 10 minutes before the race and 10 seconds until the start time. I selected a horse called Brae On and used best market price for €10 and ticked fill or kill feature for 15 seconds.I did get a pop up message just 10 minutes into the start of te race saying Brae On was available at 5.7 so I clicked yes. After the race I clicked on the matched bets tab on guardian and noticed nothing was there so I checked the log:
08/03/2017 15:58:57: Guardian has detected that the market is suspended
08/03/2017 15:58:58: Guardian has detected that the market is now unsuspended
08/03/2017 16:10:39: [G_Auto] : € 10.00 Back bet placed on Brae On at 5.7. Entirely unmatched when it initially reached the market. Ref: 10000 ( Fill or kill bet with 15 seconds delay. )
08/03/2017 16:10:54: [G_Auto] : € 10 unmatched bet (Ref:10000) was killed.
08/03/2017 16:20:59: Guardian has detected that the market is suspended
08/03/2017 16:21:00: Guardian has detected that the market is in-play
08/03/2017 16:21:00: Guardian has detected that the market is now unsuspended
08/03/2017 16:27:46: Guardian has detected that the market is suspended
The unmatched tab was also blank so I'm really confused. I guess im being stupid? Probably no bets are placed as I was in practice mode?
Thanks in advance:)
Unmatched bet on practice mode
It was killed after being in the market for 15secs as it was still unmatched

Hi Dallas thanks for the quick reply. But I thought the idea was that it would keep trying to fill it for 15 seconds each time for the duration set so in my case 10 minutes until it was matched?
It would if you set the number of triggers to more than 1 (on the general tab of the rules editor)
If you set the re-arm time to longer than this say 20secs and then if you want it to stop after getting one matched include the following cond
'number of matched bets cond'
On selection
is equal to 0

Hi Dallas thanks again that was extremely helpful as tat solves that issue:) No wonder I saw youtube vids of people putting 100 times for the trigger....I presumed that was the amount of actual bets you were placing. I will simply put trigger to 100 times with 20 seconds rearm.
The last point you stated about that specific condition must relate to number times you want to place the bet. So if I wanted to place 3 points on a horse to win at €10 each then it should be like this:
'number of matched bets cond'
On selection
is equal to 3
So that will mean after 3 matched bets of €10 for the same horse it would stop right? Thank god for practice mode lol

Not quiet that would mean your rule will only trigger on a selection that has exactly 3 matched bets (anymore or any less it wont trigger).Joeyboy2017 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 08, 2017 5:54 pm.The last point you stated about that specific condition must relate to number times you want to place the bet. Instead you would use
'number of matched bets cond'
On selection
is less than to 3
and that will stop it triggering once the 3rd bet has been matched.
You'll soon get used to it and when you do it will be like 2nd nature

I'm starting to get a better feel for how guardian works in practice mode but I have 3 questions:
(1) When a selected market is about to start, a pop up message comes up asking me to accept odds or not. I'm trying to change settings so that doesn't come up but I can't find where to change it.
(2) I am guessing you must leave guardian and bet angel running after you have placed your bets? I placed my bets on practice mode and closed bet angel and when I open application back it's all gone but the markets still show up if you save them on practice mode.
(3) Creating rules has me a little bit confused. I use a 6-point scale for backing horses so does it make sense that I create 6 rules (1 for each point) with all the main settings I want so for example 6-point rule will have a condition to only place 6 matched bets. Is it just a case of creating a new rule within one of my main rules? for example if I want to put 3-points on a horse I would select the specific market in guardian automation and choose 3-point rule and within that create a new rule for specific horse and name it after the horse name or something. Does that make sense and is that the most efficient way of doing it?
I noticed for same markets you just create new rules within same rule otherwise if you create an entirely new rule it just replaces everything. Apologies if my explanation is not great.

1) http://www.betangel.com/forum/viewtopic ... 47&t=12880
2) All rules are removed when Bet Angel is closed down.
A, Bet Angel needs to be running and a active connection maintained to place bets into the market and retrieve the latest info, if in live mode any bets submitted to the market will remain if Bet Angel is closed - just no further bets are placed
B, Rules are removed on exit for your own protection to ensure that next time you log on any left applied do start triggering mid market.
3)You can only apply one automation file per market but each file can contain as many individual rule types/stratergies as you want providing the dont conflict with each other

Thanks for the reply Dallas. Regarding question 2 I take it if doing this full time it's best to leave guardian running in the background basically all the time. I am presuming that's what the full time professional punters must be doing right or leave it running as you need to? I suppose once bets have been placed you can just leave software running and can go do other things.
I like to place my bets the night before so it makes sense to just leave software running. Even though extremely rare at home, If say wifi is down for an hour or something, does anything change if connection comes back before any races start? Like would rules created trigger after connection loss if it's well before a race?
I will get into trading soon but for now I'm just simply doing back bets for horse racing with my points system so I don't have much to do after I place the bets.
Sorry for the pestering questions but I've learned an awful lot in last few days thanks to your help and the resources on this forum.

Most will be using a VPS especially if running through the night or other long periods of time etc,Joeyboy2017 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 15, 2017 4:50 pmThanks for the reply Dallas. If there already in the market even unmatched then if your connection is terminated they are still on the exchange and could be matched, but nothing new can trigger with no connection as the latest prices can be retrieved and therefore the rule wont know when its ment to trigger
