Cheltenham 2017
Best day of the week for me so far too. 6/7 with just one small loss on the second race.
Loads of similarities with this day last year. Was my worst day of the week last year, though luckily I kept the data and learnt from my mistakes.
Smoked salmon and egg on toast for me tonight.

Careful posting your results, Halliday may come from behind and ambush you. He'll drag you down and tell you that you cant trade or that your never make it. I can see him lurking online waiting to pounce on the first screenshot.dragontrades wrote: ↑Thu Mar 16, 2017 6:28 pmIs anyone having much success scalping at Chelt? Lets see your results

Im having more success on the all weather kak this evening. What am I doing wrong at Chelt? Im scalping and most races get in a good position and then I keep getting spikes where it takes a few prices at a time and I have to take the loss as there was no chance to scratch. Seems to be too jumpy at points. Any Advice?

TBH the scalping has gone a bit crazy compared to last year. I am finding the markets I think should exhibit scalping qualities go crazy 5 mins to post and the crazy markets seem to find a price and stay fairly sturdy 5 mins to post. Keep an eye on the market and which side of the back or lay side its getting matched. If you can see one side seems to be taking more money this could be a sign its going to go.
Dont let it get to you, some markets ive buggered up and felt the same. I am definitely suited by swing markets and try and work on your qualities. You've profited well today. Stay positive and confident. Entering the markets without confidence is such a bad thing to do.
If your concerned the market will spike, dont scalp aggressively. Only have one order either side of the book, at least if it goes you wont be sat with 5 orders trying to chase them out.
I am finding directional scalping is really working well, have to chop and change each side but is working out well.
I think the skill in scalping is timing and intuiting, not saying I am great because Its not my strong point but I do find having a feel works well with scalping. Finding these Cheltenham markets all of a sudden start to fill crazy at a certain point then they go.

Maybe your over trading whilst scalping? There isnt much wrong with your results anyway.dragontrades wrote: ↑Thu Mar 16, 2017 7:07 pmIm having more success on the all weather kak this evening. Thanks for the tips. Its just the way I've heard people talk about the the Chelt markets as if it should just be easy money but I'm finding it quite a struggle maybe tomorrow will be more solidSeaHorseRacing wrote: ↑Thu Mar 16, 2017 7:45 pmMaybe your over trading whilst scalping?
