Do I need a signal here?

I've set my rule up, but I'm struggling to do the last bit.

My strategy has 2 bets, and I'm trying to lay the first horse that got matched when he has met certain conditions. I'm fine with the conditions, I need to figure out how i can make the lay on the first horse that was matched.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

on 'selection'
is 'greater' than 0

Will that not include the other Horse I have matched?

This is the rule,

Back/Lay the field at a certain price
Cancel All bets when 1 bet is matched
Immediately Back/Lay Horse in 2nd position

Then this is the bit I am struggling with. I want to Back/Lay only the first Horse matched, when certain criteria is met.

If I have "matched bet on selection is greater than 0" will that include my 2nd bet I placed immediately after the first ?

That condition was for your 2nd bet so it knows which the 1st was placed on

Lay All seletions
Fixed Price XOdds

Rule 2.
Cancel All Unmatched Bets in Market
Condition "Matched Bets on the Market is equal to one"

Rule 3.
Place Lay Bet
Applies to Selection "in position 2 in order of favouritism"

Rule 4.
Lay the Horse from Rule 1 if certain conditions are made

Its rule 4 i cant seem to do.

There is several conditions including a signal that could be used by your 4th rule - you just need to pick something thats exclusive to the bet being placed by rule 1 and which not repeated by any subsequent rules in between.
Then use this to identify it to rule 4
