My guess is you were the first , Oscar. Do I win a prize?
No prizes on offer I'm afraid, though I'm sure your bots made plenty on the race to compensate!
My point was more that whenever one of these gubbings happen people always tend to assume that it's the track players get hurt most, where I'm sure these sort of things can be a goldmine for some track/ fast pic players too.

I think for this reason the bha should set rules to make the stewards adjudicate in these exceptional circumstances and void the race where necessary. Although the jockey in all probability made a genuine mistake it brought that whole event into disrepute and so should have been voided if there is to be any integrity. Can we honestly say without any doubt that the jockey didn't throw the race, perhaps someone connected to him had a huge amount on the race because they didn't expect him to win... we'll never know. Unfortunately i think the ban has to be much longer than 30days, sportsman in other sports such as cricket potentially face criminal proceedings (and prison if proven) for effectively the same offence.
call me controversial

I'm usually the first one to say what an awful ride ban him for 3 months etc. But I think this case is different, I think you can tell it was a genuine mistake, he's going to miss the foxhunters at aintree as well so he's probably kicking himself! I know in HK you have to ride every horse out to the line but I don't think you can expect them to do that to a horse that's already run 3 miles.
