I've read the German papers this morning and there is a little nervousness in them. Market is pricing in a 0-0 or 1-1 result as most likely but 1-0 and 0-1 is pretty short. It's going to be a tight one according to the market.

I'm a bit more optimistic than I was for some reason, but then that's just me being patriotic. I won't be having a bet on the game but will trade it before the off. Don't take my optimism as anything other than being an optimist.

On the stats front the market is priced at 2.17 goals, which concurs with the data above, with a 0.10 goal advantage to England. I'm off to take the kids swimming this morning to try and forget about it all!

I lost 40 quid on England to beat Portugal 4 years ago(a shoe-in if ever there were one, you would have thought), so I'm keeping my money in my pocket! :)

'professional' football is becoming a farce it seems.

I thought England were poor but some how the officials seem even worse! OK very biased, but some shocking decisions by the linesman in the first half. To give offside when a Germany player put Rooney through was a shocker, but to not give the goal when to everybody in the stadium could see it went it is simply unbelievable at this level.

I do wonder what our defence is trying to do we should be 4 down. The 1st goal is seen in every primary school in the land.

As for the England goal that never was we need a Ukranian Linesman on our side or technology. I just hope this does not cause the team to lose their heads and Rooney to sent off etc etc.

Fingers crossed X

That was just embarrassing!

Love the way Capello brought on Heskey after the forth Germany goal. What is all that about?

That was horrid. Let's face it, England were rubbish in 3 games, and just about scraped through in the other one. It's all pain and no gain watching it.

Dreadful performance - we looked tired, old and slow

Nothing to do with too much football in PL - how many Bayern Munich players did Germany have?
38 Bundesliga matches + reaching the German Cup Final and CL Final, yet they full of energy compared to us

I'm eager to hear Sepp Blatter's response to Lampard's goal though

According to Capello, our top players played well!

I might have enjoyed the match more had I had some of whatever he's been smoking...

Germany's play, by contrast, had an elegant simplicity which reminded me of Arsenal at their best - pass, pass, pass, score. We, on the other hand, chose not to keep it simple, and went for long 'passes' that went to our opponents, rather than straightforward passes that kept possession.

Fair play you called it correct and we have been exposed as poor and 1 dimensional.

The game has spoilt my great weekend :(
