Time issue

Hi , I'm in the UK and have just noticed an issue with the time being shown against my unmatched orders.

In the BA unmatched bets screen the time shown is exactly 1 hour behind the actual time I placed the order and exactly 1 hour behind the time shown in the BA log and the Betfair unmatched screen on the Betfair website?

My time settings in BA are "UTC GMT" and on the betfair website UK Time. The time until the event starts is correctly showing the right time before the event is due.

Any suggestions as to how I synchronise the unmatched screen to everything else?

I've had this problem for months

I reported it to BA support & they couldn't provide any explanation apart from asking me to check the settings

I just ignore it now, I've got used to BA being 1 hour out

If support did not solve your problem you need to get back to them. This issue is very common and easily solved. The time is read in from Betfair and corrected for your location. For this reason you need to ensure your location and time zone settings are correct within your operating system. In addition, you need to make sure your daylight savings option is ticked. On top of that, there is a time zone setting within your Betfair account profile setting on the betfair website. This needs to be correct also. I hope this solve the issue for you.

Have checked all my local, BA and Betfair settings and believe they are set correctly but I still have the same problem. Also just noticed that the matched bets are being shown 1 hour before actual time of placing order?

My settings are as follows:

BA
[UTC] Western European Time, GMT
Summertime/DST in effect = yes
Note: Time being shown in "my date format" is showing correct time.

My PC (Windows XP)
Time Zone is (GMT). Adjust for Daylight Savings is ticked. The clock on my pc is showing the correct time.

Betfair
Time Zone is UK Time (GMT+1.00)

The times recorded/shown in the BA Log, My PC and Betfair are all the same and showing the correct time. The "Event Starts in approx." window is calculating correctly, but the time on the BA matched and unmatched bets areas are exactly 1 hour behind?

Any ideas?

Hmm, we can also see this. This is different to the usual cause.

We have checked API and non API modes and the matched bets are being returned correctly in non API mode but incorrectly in API mode, so this looks like an API issue. It appears to be returning matched bets at GMT rather than BST.

We have logged the issue to Betfair. I guess they wont look at it till Monday.
