LAYING 1 HORSE AT E.G 4/1 OR FIXED BEST PRICE

I can set automation to pick 1 horse at 4/1 no problem.
I want to trade out if horse reaches 2/1(half price)
or continue trailing if price going out

1.General
Is fill or kill required?

2. parameters(what ticks are required)
offset ticks ?
stop trigger ticks?
place at ticks?

3. offset bet with trailing
or offset bet with greening and trailing

Any help please. I have watched videos, read other posts and tried in live mode.

Not sure what your asking here, the number of ticks between 4/1 and 2/1 is 30 so i assume that's what you want to use for your trailing stop.
The offsets are up to you and by using fill/kill the offset will only be placed when the opening bet begins to be matched.

Using such a large number of stop loss ticks will require some sort of additional green up if triggered to make the loss completely even

Thanks for reply Dallas.
My offset ticks were already set at 30 ticks and not changed.
It is not based on every horse at 4/1 but just an example price for a horse I think will drift in running.
However Im not sure what to put in stop trigger(ticks),place at ticks and if fill or kill is required.
Im happy with loss. However I want it to trigger continually if price going out and and set the backward(minus) tick loss to say eg 10 so it is pulling up,if thats what trailing stop is.
For example for simplicity. If horse drifts as predicted to 5/1 6/1 7/1 etc how does automation put in bets in advance for this for each drifting price.

If your laying at different odds you would be better using the % for a stop rather than ticks as ticks differ depending on the odds being used (ie setting at say 50% means if you lay @ 4.0 the stop trails from 2.0 if you lay at 6.0 it trails from 3.0 but the ticks between 4.0-2.0 is 70ticks and 6.0-3.0 is only 40ticks)
Everything you need to know about stop losses is detailed in this thread
http://www.betangel.com/forum/viewtopic ... 47&t=11746

To trigger a stop multiple times you will need to use a 'green all selections' or close trade on selection with greening' rule type - these can be set up to only triggers after your trailing stop has been triggered but then take over to trigger multiple times

Thanks for reply Dallas. It was by watching this video I was thinking about automating but not on a fav or at least a short price fav.

Thanks Dallas I understand(well parts only). The horse in question would be a set price(best odds) between 2/1 and 4/1 then for my purposes.Lets say 4/1.
The lay would be at one single odds initially not differing odds..I want a trailng stop in running.
But going back to my original question, what would be the set up for tick sizes accounting for a 50% loss ie if layed 2/1 red out 1/1 , 4/1 red out 2/1.And how to set up for trailing stop for potential profit as in vid

I have put in 70 ticks stop at
What ticks should go in offset and place at if laying 4/1(5)
depending what I adjust with each it sometimes puts in a lower price bet than the lay price in running
point 2 in original post.
2. parameters(what ticks are required)
offset ticks ?
stop trigger ticks 70
place at ticks?

what offset and trigger is required

2/1 to evens is 70 ticks
4/1 to 2/1 is 30 ticks

You don't set the trailing stop for a potential profit that's what the offset is for, a stop/trailing stop is to control you potential loss

How many ticks profit are you looking for?

stop trigger ticks 70
place at ticks?
Normally for the number of 'place at' ticks you would use a number slightly higher than you have used to trigger the stop at - just have a play about and see what works best for you

Tried earlier however.Adjusting each with loss in running lay 4/1 £10 Back 7/2 £10 fires first.

2. parameters(what ticks are required)
offset ticks ?
stop trigger ticks?
place at ticks?

Lets say theoretically prices move 1 either way.eg 3/1 4/1 5/1 6/1 or vice versa 6/1 5/1 4/1 3/1 (not 4.2 5.3 3.5 etc)
I want a trailing stop lay bet on a 4/1 so going back to original post
offset ticks ?
stop trigger ticks?
place at ticks?

Dallas the genius has explained but above my head

Thanks Dallas,
Tried yesterday and the % of odds and greening multiple times is the answer. I will need to study a bit more (to understand all of your post as I am at very early learning stage ) to tweek it but made a profit yesterday.
But definately the basis and more of what I was looking for.
Thanks again.
