Do you all have problems with itchy fingers? When you look at the races and find no opportunity to open a trade, you feel bored, or you did trade but only made a small profit, you feel like laying a horse in play to make some quick buck. All is good until you burn your fingers on winner laid at odds 20+ .

Is this common and typical among traders?

if you can't see an opening, it's a 50/50 punt

I used to have £2 'fun' bets (and being hopeless, they always spoiled my stats). The biggest problem was I couldn't simply transfer my history to my stats spreadsheet without editting a lot, it became meaningless.

So I set up a bot that greens at the off, then every second throughout the race. It ran on a laptop in another room. Now I've totally broken the habit.

I'm too busy to get bored...my to-do list is always ridiculous.

Peter Webb, your swear filter doesn't seem to work on BA's homepage - it only works when you open a thread
