Automation Timings

Hi,

I am using automation and one of my rules require there to be 15 tic movements in 120 seconds. When I apply the rules to a race, sometimes it triggers a trade at once, does this show that my automation is not working correctly, that is to say it is supposed to wait 120 seconds?

I hope I have explained this so it can be understood. Its just that I always expect Guardian to be scanning for 120 seconds at least before a trade is triggered, am I understanding things wrongly?

Guardian is scanning markets from the moment they are added not just from when a rule is armed, although it wont trigger until after its armed its still recording the movement before hand.

What you could do is use the 'Restrict Refresh' option on the advanced tab to instruct guardian to only start refreshing a market when a rule is armed - that would solve your problem

Yes, if a market is being refreshed on one of the main trading screens then any rules applied to it in guardian will be able to trigger

Hi Dallas,
I wonder if you have any ideas on this, maybe I have set something up wrongly? I followed your suggestion to 'restrict refresh' of Guardian to 630 secs before start time but as I was watching a few moments ago Guardian began to refresh and update the next race even though it was 14 minutes away, any ideas, have I set this up wrongly?

No worries, maybe it was because it was the first race in the list as its did not happen on the next upcomng race. Sorry to have bothered you.
