System Crash .

Can anyone tell me how often Betfair crashes , I understand it went down recently & wondered if there was any way of minimising losses , or are you left at the mercy of the markets ?

You'll usually get 2-3 major crashes a year were it goes down for a few hours then seveal mini ones were it may just hang for a few minutes of become sluggish.
Theirs a lot more than just Betfair going down you need to consider and prepare for, have a read of this blog for some suggestions

I suppose its an inevitability so treat it as an occupational hazard . Back up is essential then , so will have to invest in spare laptop .

A spare laptop won't save you from a betfair crash, a funded betdaq account might.

Totally agree with above PLUS have screen recording, Trader Tom has a really good post on that and there's Flashback - otherwise it's up to you and your rmemory ( the one in you head) mine's not too reliable! just have the PLAN B ready for instant Reverse Handbrake Turn wid' de smoking tyres - TOP GEAR - Richard Hammond style, not Jame May (he's an awfully nice bloke but???) .
