For anyone who is interested in racing stats.. I have a good one.

Did you know at Lingfield AW track. There are many others but this has the biggest bias!!

5f, 6f,7f & 1 Mile races where the race is 0-60 & 0-65 handicap are run faster then all 0-70 & 0-75 handicap races at the same distance!

Anything over 1 mile then as you would imagine the better quality of the race the quicker they will go and 70 races run faster then 65 and so on.

Over 5f at Lingfield AW track in 0-60 & 0-65 they run on average 2 lengths faster then the 0-70 & 0.75 races!

I have know about this for a few years now but now I have scrapped enough data I have found the reason why. It is because of the amount of high weights in the 0-70 races... more horses are rated say 75 then they are 55 meaning these races carry much more weight on a fairly level playing fielding resulting in slower run times.

So next time you you see a racing stat where you have lower quality horses running faster this could in fact be true but not to a point where form is better!

I'm sorry I can't give them away. Years of work went into them and I don't really want to give them away for public access.

As soon as tales of the tweed took up a prominent position the price flew
