in running trading
Not a very good idea unless you at the venue and can see what is actually going on without any kind of delays via TV or Radio.

Same as Dallas , I use bots in running to top up my pre off trading, I'd imagine you'd be fighting a losing battle against the track players if you're basing decisions on the TV feeds.
if you subscribe to R.UK or watch via the Betfair feed the delay is minimal. The number of 'courtsiders' at tracks these days is quite small. In running offers the best profits and volatility is the traders friend. You can be in and out of the market in seconds with large spreads. Just learn to control your risk and make sure you have excellent race reading skills. Its not for the novice.

I observe sometimes that the delay on Betfair can be relatively extensive, it's variable but you can assess the delay at the start of each race ... how long until the race starts on video after going suspended in the betting market which I believe to be within milliseconds of the actual start. At least you can then decide if it's worth looking at the video or ignoring it! And you will need to have staked at least £5 pre-off to be able to see the race start.
I have heard some say Bet365 has a very short delay. I think they let you see the race for a £1 bet so you could consider that an overhead or do a Back/Lay using them. If you are getting serious about in-running it may be worth having more than one stream open for each race, using the one that has the shortest delay each time.
Just a quick note: You should be self matching £2.50 Back and then lay at the same price in order to watch the race for free on Betfair and refresh the video link at the time of the off to get the most up to date pictures. I watch via other software so its easier to refesh and I dont have any issues but RUK is 1-2 seconds behind the time any how. Remember RISK CONTROL is everything.
