Hi
I would like some advice on the whether it is worth investing in subscriptions to any of the sites like Racing Post, Proform, Timeform etc
Have read various posts and comments around the web about the pros and cons of the web sites mentioned, but the articles seemed to be lean toward the punter and not as we try and and do with various success rates and that is to trade the race and not just bet on it.
So are any of the Bet Angel Community using these services ? and if i may be so bold to ask why or what advantage would you consider if any these sites have to offer to one who is learning to trade and not just to bet ??
Advice on sites like racing post proform etc

Firstly are you looking to gamble or are you looking to trade?
If your looking to pre race trade. Do not waste your money on any of it. Just using free form access is enough.
If you looking to trade possibly in running or longer term trades. i.e Backing night before and laying off next day. Then yes form, racingpost and proform etc can be very useful however, my advice would be do not waste your money.
When you subscribe to the racing post on a paid subscription this is all your paying for. Access to analysis, access to tips (waste of money), access to race time analysis. Basically your paying for some guys opinions in detail and my gosh they are pretty wrong most of the time.
On a daily basis the going description is usually wrong at least at one track..
With regards to time form.. again they are better on certain parts.
It all depends on what your planning to do. If your really serious about gambling I still wouldnt advise paying for these service.
I may sound like a hypocrite but I do pay for racing post subscription but it isnt because of alot of things... I use it to improve my own form software's... If I have a speed rating that seems stupidly fast and the weather was dry, with an even pace sometimes there are reasons you will never know why without a detailed analysis. So i can check racinpost just to make sure my own software isnt wrong..
Additionally any edge thats on racingpost is taken... any tips or speed stats where you think will make money I can assure you the value has gone.
So to really answer your question... If you just want to place some bets a couple times of week and you really have no time to put the effort into it then yes these subscriptions will be worth the money because atleast you wont throw your money away so quickly but you probably still will.
If this is not the case then do your own research and if your trading you really do need form most of the time.
