If your standing on the line, in the last minute of extra time of a world cup quarter final......with the chance to give your country a place in the semi final what would you do?

Depends if you have morals or notmulberryhawk wrote:what would you do?

I would play with hands like T.Henry
or better like Maradona and saying that it was hand of God.
Or trading-wise said, it is like laying at low odds, risk is minimum a [red card] if you get noticed but the upside is huge - qualification and maybe more

In making a split second decision would u have time to consider your morals?
I dont know what I would do to be honest, but I suspect it would be an instinctive reaction to stop the ball at all costs...

In these instances surely a goal should be awarded rather than penalty....
something else for FIFA to consider? I doubt they will...

Well in fairness a penalty by definition penalises the offending team by giving the opposition a free kick at goal from 12 yards out which should be converted.
