I dont see what the debate is here or anywhere.
I am certainly not narrow minded but there is a very very simple start to dealing with the world we live in right now.
1. If someone can be proven to have any links with terrorism they should be locked away and never released. Personally maybe they should be hung but thats debatable.
2. Anyone who is reportedly a sympathiser of these cowards should either be deported if immigrant or they should serve time in jail.
3. Rather then keep bringing them to a small island like the UK. Why dont we invest the money in building a safe government in there own country. Sounds ridiculous but they used to send convicts to Australia, so why can we not find a safe place for refugees where muslims would be more acceptable.
Its a sad world we live in and I fully understand how decent people are suffering, i think the world should be free but until all countrys are on a level playing field and wealth its simply not possible to allow people to come here.
You must take care of yourself or your own before you can help anyone else.
Getting fed up with this and it really bothers me. if there are thousands under a terrorist watch list rather then hope for the best go and get them and then allow them to prove why they are not a danger if they want there freedom back.
Its not rocket science. Collect them all up... they may think again about coming to this country.
I wait for the comment... but they guy was born in manchester. Look his parents are immigrants and are muslims. Very religious family.. funny how they moved back to Libya now its safe.
But lets not forget finally once something does happen ISIS starts to slow up and these event dont happen were have another problem... we will have thousands of brainwashed north koreans doing the same to us. Eventually Kim Jun Un will be gone and it will all happen again.

Personally, i think they should be transferred to a sea prison, somewhere in the south atlantic.

You're not old enough to have lived through the religious nutters bombing pubs and killing children here in the 70s, and I know people who's lives are ruined by 'travellers' on their land. Would this be your suggestion for the Irish? I really hope not because most of them are lovely people, just like all the other foreigners I've met.
Stop worrying, if we can defeat hitler we don't have to be afraid of a few d!ckheads with a rucksack and a toyota landcruiser.

May’s mandate melts
The markets are remarkably calm about polls showing that the election is narrowing

The U.K. Snap Election Is Riskier Than It Seems
Theresa May’s conservatives are probably headed to a big win, but polls in the U.K. are terrible.

I can't imagine what they were thinking with that policy at that time.cybernet69 wrote: ↑Fri May 26, 2017 10:56 pmI think the conservatives messed up big time with their so called death tax.

pink button on conservatives for me. Momentum should build as it did with trump/brexit market. Should be another fun night!
Well, i am told that a higher percentage of elderly people vote and they tend to vote conservative compared to young people.Euler wrote: ↑Fri May 26, 2017 10:58 pmI can't imagine what they were thinking with that policy at that time.cybernet69 wrote: ↑Fri May 26, 2017 10:56 pmI think the conservatives messed up big time with their so called death tax.
So to me its kind of like shooting your own soldiers.

I still think the conservatives will win but it isnt going to be a maggie still majority and i think the party that will do well will be the lib dems.
Too be honest, at the moment, i cant really bring myself to vote for any of them.
But, like others, I am sure their are going to be some good trading situations.

That policy and some other considerations:Euler wrote: ↑Fri May 26, 2017 10:58 pmI can't imagine what they were thinking with that policy at that time.cybernet69 wrote: ↑Fri May 26, 2017 10:56 pmI think the conservatives messed up big time with their so called death tax.
The lack of a cap on care costs hasn't actually affected how the elderly are voting (according to my 85yo mum and her wrinkly mates at bowls). The people who've been rattled are the 50somethings who are looking at losing a chunk of their inheritance.
Sadly manifestos have little or no effect on the outcome of an election. At most only 30% of people begin the process as undecided.
These people require their selection to pass 3 so-called hygiene tests.
1. Connecting on core values
2. Positioning on the big issues of the day
3. Leadership.
The Tories are very confident they have the upperhand in these tests, especially the all important #3. That leaves very very few people who get as far as considering policy. The manifesto could contain almost anything she wanted, and did. Much of it is actually very unpopular with a cabal of her back benchers and that's why she's so keen to get a large overpowering majority. It will also help to get her EU deal through parliament and hailed as a sucess (rather than helping in the actual talks as she suggests.)
May seems to have avoided a lot of difficult questions about cuts to policing and unchecked non-EU immigation, mostly due to it appearing unseemly after the bomb this week. Perhaps the gloves might be off on that one next week.
The only things I can see moving the market much now are either more national security issues or one of them having a car crash moment in the live TV show on Monday (8:30 Ch4).
I still think a Tory majority is a certainty, but I'm nervously holding a Tory lay at the moment just while the polls are still closing. I'll jump ship and preserve some profit if it falls to 1.1 again.
Don't discount the polls, statistically they are still pretty accurate despite popular opinion.
