Hi,

Can anyone tell me the action of ''Stop on opening bet'' please?

Does this mean, if I place a lay or back bet, with no offsets, it will close the bet at a given number of ticks, if its going against me, i.e. into loss?

Thanks.

This is completely different from a 'Stop Loss'

If you ask for a price with your opening bet and the price then move away before your matched this will then move your opening bet if its moved a number of ticks.

So for example say the current price is 4.9 and you offer a back bet at 5.0 with a 5 tick 'Stop on Opening Bet'
If the price then shorten to 4.5 before your opening bet is matched Bet Angel will cancel it and take the price at 4.5

Its often used in pre-match soccer markets when you could be queued behind a large amount of money for a long time (which your prepared to do but also want to be sure of a match if the price starts moving rather than miss out altogether)

Hi Dallas,

Many thanks for this explanation, clearly I had totally the wrong idea about this. Thanks for putting me right.
