Nicola Sturgeon has said that people who carry out terrorist attacks in the name of Islam "do not speak for that faith".
Scotland's first minister and leader of the SNP said their their actions were a "perversion of Islam".
She added: "It is important to remember that terrorists kill indiscriminately. They do not distinguish their victims on the basis of faith or race.
"A Muslim in this country is far, far more likely to be a victim of a terrorist attack than a perpetrator of one.
"We must never forget that and we must not allow ourselves to be divided, community against community."
Is she a complete ignorant ass or what? How many muslims died in Westminster? Did a muslim commit the offense?
Same question to Manchester and London Bridge.
Look we get it your too afraid to admit that only Muslims are at risk to become extremists. All extremists appear to be muslims. It doesnt mean Muslims are bad it means... terroist are comming from muslims.
I am seriously dreaming of this shit? Are these Mp's scared they will become targets...
The more and more MP's behave like this the more and more likely the genraly public will fight back by themselves and put Muslims at risk.

1. How many hours of your life have you spent educating yourself about religion, politics, economics and science? Not the telly, real learning.
2. How many hours have you spent learning about horses, football and what Andy Murray had for breakfast?
If the answer to 1 is less than the answer to 2, then frankly your ideas for world peace are about as valid as my mum trying to tell you how to trade the Premiership next year.
I bet you know who's captian of Chelsea but don't know who's the spititual leader of the Wahhabis. Well I can tell you the second one is Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab and I'm not ashamed to say I haven't got a clue about Chelsea because I haven't studied them. Chelsea aren't about to attack and kill me, al-Wahhab's lot might, so I thought learning about them and how they're NOT real Muslims, was a tiny bit more important.
Where's the humility here?....or are you all experts at everything you do without having to put your 10,000 hrs in.

Well said Shaun. Might be helpful if the politicians began to call out the Wahabis as the culprits, rather than continuing to attempt reassuring everyone that these people aren't proper Muslims. Simple reassurances are not working, see countless other replies to this thread.. doesn't seem too likely however, if we continue to value our relationship with Saudi higher than our own safety it seems. Can't believe Trump (actually I can believe) just sold them billions of $$ worth of arms too. What a truly incredulous clown he is.

(although pretty outrageous, I don't think it'll effect the odds to much. There is simply no credible opposition for the average Joe to turn to. If Corbyn had stuck to his principles (campaigned for Brexit) maybe things would be vastly different, & this would have been a much closer fight. Too little too late)

Up until Westminster there were 13 deaths in 5 years. (so that was 2.6 islamist extremist related deaths per year).
If 4.6% of the population are Muslim, then including the recent attacks, I would expect 1.8 muslims in total to have died. I'm not sure, but I think there have been 3 or 4 but I'd have to look at the stats. That's double the expected chance but it's a very small sample and it's random so meaningless.
Terror attacks in the last 7 years (2010–present) :
7 in total , 5 Islamist, 2 Right wing. So we have 0.7 islamist attacks per year and under 6 (5.7) deaths per year.
There have been just 8 religious extremist attackers in the last 7 years, that's 1.1 killers per year.
2013, Pavlo Lapshyn, right-wing extremist, stabbed Mohammed Saleem, a Birmingham resident to death on 29 April. He later admitted to police that he wished to start a "race war".Lapshyn later detonated a home-made bomb outside a mosque in Walsall on 21 June.
2013, Lee Rigby, was murdered in an attack in Woolwich by Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale, two Islamist extremists
2015, A man with a knife attacked three people at Leytonstone Tube Station in East London. The attacker was 29-year old Muhaydin Mire who was shouting "this is for Syria". Three people were injured in the attack and one was seriously injured.
2016, Labour MP Jo Cox, killed by Thomas Mair, 52 who shouted "Britain first" during the attack
2017, Westminster attack - Khalid Masood, motivated by Islamic extremism.

It's having 3 in one year that's making people panic esp as this tallys with big cuts to street police numbers, but it could be a blip or due to the fact that the net is closing and plans are being brought fwd. It's still just a few lone wolves not crowds of 100s of them.
In athe same period there have been NINTY FIVE teenager on teenager murders (13.5 per year).
I hope this helps to get this into perspective. We need a "Calm down and read the stats" T-shirts.

Thank you, and the small number of others who have tried to bring some sense and perspective. All these events are so awful and tragic - the only way to put the brakes on this sort of thing is to stop encouraging division between people. Tolerance of others and an acceptance that others can be different or have some different views, is important.
That doesn't mean *any* personal view or behaviour is acceptable. But the people with truly wrong personal views is a minuscule minority. Concentrate on controlling and stopping those bad people, don't alienate an entire class of people for incorrectly perceived commonality with nut-cases.

You cannot say that someone's personal view is wrong. That is someone's opinion not fact. Everything you have suggested is your opinion. Nobody cannot say for sure what will or won't work. You have to respect other people's opinions and views.
This is the problem millions and millions of people have a different opinion to you and your suggestion is actually worse because this a country of freedom of speech.
The lefties think we're racist or judgemental at the end of the day terrorist ate coming from Muslims. Not all Muslims are terrorist. There should be zero tolerance.
People like you are living in dream land. Yes we should be one. We should be a community but it's not going to happen. Why can the government see this. The world Is not ready for it.

Police cuts were due to a big drop in crime overall and labour pushed for more just 2 years ago. Counter terrorism budget is up massively, dozens of plots have been foiled. its a problem
